Who We Support 

Proceeds from the Leftovers Thrift Shop are donated to the Contra Costa Crisis Center. Its mission is to keep people alive and safe, help them through crises, provide and connect them with culturally relevant resources in the community. They do this by operating three county-wide programs:

Contra Costa Crisis Center

We offer free confidential services: 24/7, all year. Founded in 1963, the Crisis Center meets the highest standard of service, certified by the American Association of Suicidology. Our services are provided by highly-trained volunteers and staff, and by skilled professionals.

  • Crisis Lines: Provide 24/7 counseling, support, help and hope for those in crisis or feeling suicidal, depressed or distressed. Help is available by phone or by text. 24-hour translation services available.

    • Information and Referral: Call 24/7 for information about local health and social services. In addition, our free comprehensive continually-updated resource database is available in multiple languages: www.211cc.org

                 


    • Grief Counseling:  Provides group counseling to youth and individuals mourning the death of a loved one. Also, schools and businesses can request our mobile grief response team after a student or colleague unexpectedly dies.

    Training:  Trainings available for organizations, schools, professionals, and community members.
